Different Paths. A Shared Intention.
A space to feel at home within yourself.

Two Generations, One Shared Intention
Marea Wellness grew from a shared belief that every person deserves a space where they can pause, feel heard and reconnect with themselves.
At its heart, Marea is a mother-daughter journey. Founded by Avinii and her mother, Pooja, it brings together two generations, two different approaches to wellbeing and one shared intention: to make space for people to care for themselves in ways that feel meaningful to them.
Although their approaches differ, both are guided by the same hope: to create a space where people can turn their attention inward, honour their experiences and explore what wellbeing means to them.
Avinii's journey began with a curiosity about human behaviour, emotions and the experiences that shape who we become. Through her work as a counselling psychologist, she has come to value the importance of having a space where difficult emotions can be explored without judgement, patterns can be understood and change can happen at a pace that feels right for each individual.
Pooja's work in holistic healing offers a different way of approaching wellbeing. Through practices such as Reiki, aura healing, sound baths and tarot, she creates opportunities for relaxation, reflection and reconnection.
The name Marea, meaning tide, reflects this philosophy. Like the tides, we move through different seasons of life.
There are times when we feel grounded and certain, and times when everything feels unfamiliar or unsettled. We believe there is room for all of it.
Not every phase needs to be rushed, every feeling explained away or every experience turned into a lesson. Marea Wellness brings these two approaches together while respecting what makes each one distinct. Whether you come seeking psychological support, a moment of stillness, emotional clarity or a deeper connection with yourself, our intention is to offer a welcoming space without pressure or judgement. We do not believe there is one right way to care for yourself, or that you need to have everything figured out before you begin.
This is Marea Wellness. A space to meet yourself where you are, move at your own pace and make room for whatever comes next.Small Practice, Deep Roots

Avinii Taneja
Founder · Counselling Psychologist · 4 years of practice
My journey in psychology began in 2018, driven by a deep interest in understanding human behaviour, emotions and relationships. Since beginning my professional practice in 2023, I have worked with individuals navigating a range of emotional, behavioural and interpersonal concerns.
My approach combines evidence-based therapeutic practices with a compassionate, trauma-informed perspective, creating a safe and non-judgemental space for individuals to explore their experiences, build self-awareness and work towards meaningful change. Alongside counselling practice, I am involved in mental health advocacy, psychoeducation and workshop facilitation.
My work spans counselling, crisis intervention and employee mental health services, with Anamkaaruh, Friends Square, Nova IVF Fertility, Ganaa and Mind Vriksha. I also write and run workshops with The Mind Diaries and The Well Being Trust.

Pooja Taneja
Co-founder · Holistic Healer · 7 years of practice
From teacher to healer. Mother by profession, teacher by passion, traveller by choice. For 16 years teaching was her life, but alongside it ran a quiet pull towards spirituality.
In 2019 she began with Reiki. Personal learning soon opened doors to angel cards, aura reading and scanning, Trishakti healing, sound healing and crystals.
Then life brought its own lessons. Chronic kidney disease taught her that acceptance is not liking what life brings, and surrender is not giving up. It is acknowledging the present, letting go of what you cannot control, and still taking the steps within your hands. Alongside medical care and her loved ones, healing helped her pause and reconnect.
She doesn't promise miracles or replace medical care. The Healing Room is a space rooted in empathy, where people can reconnect with themselves. Teaching gave her patience and listening, spirituality taught her to look within, and her health keeps teaching her faith and surrender. A mother, a teacher at heart, a lifelong learner, still discovering, one step at a time.
"Acceptance helps us meet ourselves where we are. Surrender allows us to make peace with what we cannot control. And learning keeps us open to who we can still become."
